Use this easily-assembled seasoning to add a punchy Cajun flare to your meals and snacks.
The oregano and marjoram are prominent and make this seasoning sing. The heat can get intense in some recipes. You may consider adding a half teaspoon of cayenne pepper instead of a full teaspoon if you’re looking for a milder seasoning. If you use a full teaspoon of cayenne pepper, I recommend starting with smaller additions of the seasoning. You can add more to taste or just stick with a smaller spice addition and shake more over your plate to suit your palate.
INGREDIENTS
- 3 TBSP smoked paprika
- 1 TBSP oregano (dried)
- 1 TBSP marjoram (dried)
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½-1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp black pepper
DIRECTIONS
Pour ingredients into a spice grinder and grind until ground consistently and mixed thoroughly. This should take less than a minute.
